Each and every day in our world, hundreds of species of animals come closer and closer to extinction. Many people might think that this is just an exaggeration, or that the “government” will take care of it. Believe it or not, saving the animals is not the governments job. It is the responsibility of every human being. Being the dominant species on this planet gives us the responsibility of a lifetime… to not only preserve our own existence here, but to preserve the existence of every species that we share our planet with.
Sound like a big job? Well, it is not such a huge task… it is just that we forget to think about it on a day -to -day basis. So, here are a few things you can do every day that will help save animals, and doing these very easy things will contribute to the greater cause of life, in all of its many forms and manifestations, on this very, very small planet that we must all share.
First, stop littering. Littering clutters our planet, making it hard for animals to survive. Every single cup, paper bag, and wrapper that you throw out your car window is causing trouble for animals, so stop doing it!
Second, do not poach. If you really want to hunt, than follow the rules set in place by the government. These rules, when followed, have been proven to effectively save entire species’ of animals, while still allowing you to hunt them. So follow the laws, and the animals will have a better shot at seeing the next century.
And finally, remember that without animals, humans could not exist. Plants, animals, and people all need each other to survive. Without a healthy variety of plants and animals, humans will be doomed to the same cataclysmic fate that many endangered animals are facing!

I am six years old. I help animals everyday by picking up trash in my neighborhood. I love animals! |
